England & Wales hits the mid‑20s, prompting millions to say “lovely, this” while sweating like they’re being interrogated. Scotland & N.Ireland remains lightly moist, because someone has to uphold tradition.

Saturday 8 AugustHot, bright, and deeply inconvenient. 

28°C in the south, ideal for commuters who enjoy slow‑cooking on public transport. The north stays cooler, mostly out of spite.

Sunday 9 AugustThe sun continues its hostile takeover. 

England and Wales pushes 30°C, humidity rises, and every office worker begins Googling “can you die from wearing polyester”. 
Scotland and Northern Ireland get light showers, because they always do.

Monday 10 August Still hot. Still sunny. 

Still no meaningful rain for southern England, whose lawns now resemble Ryvita. Northern areas get scattered showers that locals will insist are “refreshing” while quietly wishing they lived somewhere warm.

Tuesday 11 August Peak heatwave: 

33°C in Surrey, with London, Kent, Norfolk and Essex all sweating at 31–32°C. Scotland enjoys a bracing 14–15°C, perfect for anyone who thinks sunshine is a moral failing.

Wednesday 12 August Another scorcher.

 England remains a giant convection oven. Wales gets a random downpour just to keep everyone guessing. Scotland  And N.Ireland continues its “light rain but not enough to be useful” routine.

Thursday 13 AugustThe heatwave begins to wobble. 

Still warm, still sunny, but with the faint threat of rain lurking like a passive‑aggressive neighbour. Temperatures dip slightly, allowing Britain to return to its favourite pastime: complaining that the weather is “a bit rubbish now".



In conclusion.

Britain braces for a week of weather that will expose its complete inability to function above 22°C. More hosepipes will be banned, barbecues will be misused, and at least one man in Surrey will insist he is “basically Spanish now”.
